Parents and guardians of students receiving special education services in Spencer County Public Schools, your voice matters!

The Kentucky Department of Education is conducting the annual Indicator 8 Parent Survey, which gathers feedback about how well schools are partnering with families to support students with disabilities.

TES Families: Calling all incoming TES Kindergarten families!! Please join us for a popsicle and some time on the playground with other families next Tuesday, June 9th from 5:00-6:00.

Attention 3rd - 12th Grades needing summer access to your school accounts!! As part of a state-wide initiative, we will begin using Rapid Identity Automation to log into our district accounts. Each user (staff/student) will be required to use Multi-Factor Authentication. Pictograph Authentication provides a secure and user-friendly option to traditional multi-factor authentication methods for students. Along with username and password, students will create a second password by selecting images (pictographs). Each 3rd - 12th grade student will need to remember 3 pictographs to log into their district accounts. Please do not share your password or pictographs! You are responsible for your account at all times!

The Spencer County Board of Education is RESCHEDULING it's Work Session Scheduled for June 9, 2026.

The meeting will now be conducted on MONDAY, JUNE 15, 2026 at 6:00 PM. As a result of rescheduling the meeting, this new date will be a SPECIAL CALLED Meeting.

The Regular Monthly Meeting will still be conducted on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at 6:00 pm as previously advertised.

Summer school bus routes are now available!

Please contact your child’s school with any questions regarding summer school enrollment or information. Summer school transportation will begin on Monday, June 1st.

Former TES student and soon to be high school graduate Emeri Lewis conducted a lesson in Ms. Voegele’s third grade classroom this week.  She taught about the mood of a story. Mood is how a story makes the reader feel, such as happy, excited, scared, or sad. After sharing a story about gardening, students collaborated together to paint a clay pot while practicing being engaged students as well as problem solvers. We enjoyed learning how stories can make us feel different emotions while we read. Thank you, Emeri!

Camp Spencer Summer Registration

Spencer County Public Schools is excited to launch Camp Spencer, a fun and engaging summer experience for incoming 1st grade through 4th grade students!

Due to limited space in Tigers Beyond the Bell and Cub Club, we are offering Camp Spencer as an additional opportunity for more students to participate in a high-quality summer program.

Camp Spencer is designed to help students learn, grow, explore new interests, and stay active through hands-on camps led by our Spencer County staff.

Please read carefully before registering:

Complete one registration per child.
Registration deadline: Friday, May 8
Cost: $150 per week
Camp Spencer will be housed at Taylorsville Elementary for all students this summer.
Camp hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Breakfast and lunch will be provided, or students may bring their own lunch
Camp Capacity:
Each camp is capped at 30 students
Students will be grouped by incoming:
Primary (1–2)
Intermediate (3–4)
Camps with fewer than 15 students may be canceled, and families will be notified
After registering, you will receive additional information regarding payment and weekly camp details.

Our Kinders had the best day ever!!! Thank you to Ray Jewell for opening up the park and bringing the soccer goals, Dairy Queen for making 90 mini blizzards at a moments notice, Bounce Cloud for bringing and setting up two bounce houses, Spencer Christian Church for bringing outdoor games, and TES staff and families for gathering and bringing balls, jump ropes, hula hoops, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, and water. Our community is AMAZING!
