🎬✨ Lights. Camera. Cubs in Action! ✨🎬 Our SCES STLP students had an unforgettable day at the KET (chatgpt://generic-entity?number=0) Broadcast Studio! 🎥🐻💙 Students had the opportunity to: 🎙 Explore a real recording studio 🎥 Learn about the professional technology used for filming and broadcasting 🎚 See behind-the-scenes equipment that brings shows to life 🎞 Create their very own movie trailers using industry tools From cameras and green screens to sound boards and studio lighting, our Cubs got a hands-on look at what it takes to produce high-quality media. They stepped into the roles of producers, directors, editors, and on-air talent as they created original movie trailers of their own! And here’s the exciting part… 🇺🇸✨ Some of our students will also be featured in America’s 250th Birthday Special, where they will be reading the Declaration of Independence as part of the celebration! What an incredible honor to have our Cubs represent our school and community in such a historic event. This experience strengthened their skills in communication, collaboration, creativity, and confidence — truly showing what it means to Love. Learn. Lead. 💙 We are so proud of how they represented SCES and grateful to KET for investing in student voice and inspiring the next generation of storytellers and broadcasters!

Back to Back to Back State Champions! Our SCES Dance Team is amazing. Way to go Cubs!

Today our SCES Dance Team performs at Western Hills HS in Frankfort, KY at the KDCO State Competition. Our Cubs hit the floor at 2:50 and 3:50 in hopes for a state title. Good Luck, Cubs!

🐻💙 SCES Cub Café just got an UPGRADE! 💙🐻 We are beyond THANKFUL for our amazing PTO and for the incredible support from our APEX Fundraiser that helped bring this vision to life! Because of YOU, we were able to add fun, flexible new seating to our Cub Café — a project that impacts all 800 of our Cubs! 🪑✨ Students will rotate during lunch so everyone gets a chance to enjoy the awesome new café tables, making lunchtime even more exciting and engaging! 🍽️🎉 And we’re not done yet… 👀 More redesign is on the way as we continue working toward our goal of creating a cafeteria space that is: 💬 Collaborative 🎨 Flexible 📚 Used for more than just eating ❤️ A place our Cubs LOVE to be Thank you for helping us create spaces where our students can Love. ❤️🩺 Kindergarten Cardiology in Action! 🩺❤️ Ms. Hutchins’ kindergarten classroom was full of heart-pumping fun during Cardiology Day! Our tiny doctors and nurses in training explored all kinds of heart activities—even real ones! 🫀😲 Students showed off their skills as Problem Solvers and Empowered Learners, asking great questions, making observations, and learning how the heart helps our bodies work. They were also Effective Communicators as they shared discoveries with friends. What a fun and meaningful way to love, learn, and lead—one heartbeat at a time! 💙🐾

While much of her work happens quietly behind the scenes, the impact she makes is felt every single day by our students, families, and staff.
