๐ Pajama Day + Santa = The Perfect Ending to Rudolph Week! ๐๐
Our Cubs wrapped up Rudolph Week in the coziest way possible with Pajama Day and a special visit from Santa himself! ๐คโจ๐ Smiles, laughter, and holiday cheer filled the halls as we celebrated together. Through the fun, our students shined as Engaged Citizens and Effective Communicators, sharing joy, kindness, and excitement with friends and staff. Moments like these remind us how special it is to celebrate as a school family. ๐๐พ We love opportunities to love, learn, and leadโespecially during such magical moments! โ๏ธโจ

๐๐ช Gingerbread Day Magic! ๐ช๐
What a sweet and successful Gingerbread Day in Mrs. Lawton's classroom yesterday! The students truly shined as Active Collaborators and Problem Solvers as they planned their gingerbread designs, budgeted for materials, and made thoughtful changes along the way. ๐ก๐
Creativity was everywhere as our Cubs worked together, shared ideas as Effective Communicators, and brought their gingerbread creations to life. From math and planning to reflection and teamwork, this hands-on experience was packed with meaningful learning โ and lots of holiday fun! โจ๐
We are so proud of our Empowered Learners and the enthusiasm they brought to the day. This is what it looks like when we love, learn, and lead at SCES!

๐โจ Glow Day Fun in Mrs. Abell & Mrs. Mooneyโs Classes! โจ๐
Learning was glowing bright with a little Christmas fun! ๐ก๐
Students rotated through exciting stations, glow-painted their creations, and shared lots of laughs along the way.
As Active Collaborators and Empowered Learners, our Cubs worked together, tried new things, and let their creativity shine. Activities like these also gave them opportunities to be Effective Communicators while working through each station. ๐๐จ
What a joyful way to love, learn, and lead at SCES! ๐

๐ถโจ Bravo to Our Amazing Chorus! โจ๐ถ
Please take a moment to watch this incredible chorus performance led by our music teacher, Ms. Winemiller: https://drive.google.com/file/d/10qFKKVgyLoFIyUvkgvaZzL7E0LIyX7Eq/view?usp=sharing! Our talented Cubs truly shined as Effective Communicators, using their voices to express music, emotion, and confidence on stage. ๐ค๐
Through practice and teamwork, they also showed what it means to be Active Collaborators, supporting one another to create something beautiful together. Moments like this remind us how the arts help our students grow as Empowered Learners. ๐
We are so proud of our Cubs as they continue to love, learn, and leadโone song at a time! ๐พ๐ถ

๐ฆโจ Rudolph Week is almost here at SCES! โจ๐ฆ
We are so excited to kick off a week full of holiday fun, school spirit, and LOTS of Rudolph cheer! โค๏ธ
A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO for making the magic happen, every student will receive an adorable pair of antlers to wear on Monday to help us launch Rudolph Week in style! ๐ฅฐ๐ฆ
We canโt wait to see our halls filled with smiling Cubs, glowing red noses, and festive antlers as we celebrate together.
Nothing says Cub Pride like spreading joy and holiday cheer!

Due to safety considerations, we will not be able to hold todayโs chorus concert. Our top priority is always the safety of our Cubs and Cub families, and we believe this is the best decision for everyone.
The good news is that we are excited to share an alternate plan. On Monday, we will host a Holiday Concert in the main hall. Chorus and percussion members are invited to wear festive holiday attire to help bring the spirit of the season to our performance. We will record a high-quality video of the concert with a student audience so families can still enjoy and celebrate our studentsโ hard work. Families will be able to watch the performance using the link that will be shared once the video is posted.
We appreciate your understanding and flexibility, and we hope this special performance will help make up for the change in plans. Thank you for your continued support of our Cubs! ๐๐พ

๐โจ Spreading Holiday Cheer, Cub Style! โจ๐
During Library this month, Mrs. Glass and Mrs. Katherine helped our Cubs participate in the My Dear Friend program โ a beautiful initiative that fights loneliness in nursing homes during the holiday season. ๐โค๏ธ
Our students poured their hearts into writing messages of kindness, and together we created HUNDREDS of cards to send out this December. ๐๐ค๐
We also used this moment of giving to kick off our 12 Days of Christmas for our amazing SCES staffโฆ because nothing says Cub Pride like choosing to love, learn, and lead through giving to others. ๐พ๐
So proud of our Cubs and the joy theyโre spreading this season! โ๏ธ๐

โ๏ธ๐จ Winter Magic in the Courtyard! ๐จโ๏ธ
Our 5th grade Cubs were Active Collaborators and helped transform our courtyard into a cozy winter wonderland! โโจ With teamwork, they filled the windows with beautiful winter scenes that bring so much joy to our school.
We love watching our Cubs love, learn, and lead in every season! ๐๐พ

๐ฃ Big shoutout to our amazing Student Leadership Club! ๐ป๐
This morning, our leaders helped run the PBIS Cub Store and they did an incredible job! ๐๏ธโจ Students checked their points, chose their rewards, and โshoppedโ for fun items like pencils, erasers, or special coupons. โ๏ธ๐งผ๐๏ธ
Our student leaders showed what it means to be active collaborators and effective communicators as they greeted customers, helped them check out, and kept everything running smoothly. ๐ง ๐ค๐ฌ
We are SO proud of these Cubs for leading with confidence and kindness! ๐๐พ
