Cub Connection 1-24-25

SCES 4th and 5th grade GT Students had a great visit with some special guests from Animal Tales! Students were able to interact with animals from across the globe while learning about habitats and world geography.

Our Cubs with birthdays in January visited the vending machine last Friday and chose a book for their birthday. Thanks PTO for this awesome way to make our birthdays special!

Mrs. Mac's class served hot chocolate to staff members today for Fun Friday. It was so yummy! Students also did some hot chocolate math and a sequencing activity.

❄️Two Hour Delay Information❄️ 1/13/24

𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐲 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥𝐬 will operate on a 𝐭𝐰𝐨-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞 tomorrow, 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟑𝐭𝐡. 𝐓𝐢𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐮𝐛 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 will be 𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐍 on a normal schedule. After assessing bus routes today, we found that while our majority of our roads are in excellent condition, several challenges remain, including low-hanging tree limbs and multiple parked cars in cul-de-sacs and turnarounds. To ensure the safety of our students and drivers, we believe it would be beneficial for drivers to complete their routes after daylight hours. With the expected sunshine tomorrow, we anticipate more melting to occur, further improving turnaround conditions. We kindly ask that, if possible, keep cul-de-sacs clear of cars to help our buses navigate turnarounds safely. Thank you for your understanding! We look forward to seeing our students tomorrow morning!

This is just a reminder that Spencer County Schools will implement a 𝐍𝐨𝐧-𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (𝐍𝐓𝐈) day 𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐉𝐚𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝟏𝟎, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓.
