This message serves as a reminder that tomorrow, Monday, April 7, 2025, is a non-school day for Spencer County students. This day is a designated Professional Development Day, already included in our calendar.
We also want to update you about the recent rain and flooding event and its potential impact on school operations for Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Our Cubs had so much fun celebrating their accomplishments at our house assembly yesterday! Love. Learn. Lead.










SCES and TES 4th and 5th Grade Students attended the Spencer County GT SPARK Saturday Event this past weekend! Students participated in STEM activities with the KY Science Center, and visited the SCMS PAX lab to preview career exploration activities.

SCES End of Year Dates

Mrs. Johnson's class shot free throws today and collected data on their makes and misses. We love seeing our Cubs become empowered learners in the classroom!




๐๏ธFriendly Reminder: Cub Calendar Challenge is DUE! Please send in before Spring Break!
Students in Mrs. Braune's first grade classroom were empowered learners today during their UFLI lesson. Students were able to spell and decode words. Students used magnetic letters, whiteboards, and their listening skills to become better readers.








To celebrate Ag Education Week, Mrs. Glass, our librarian was able to share a story with kindergarten students about how milk becomes ice cream. Then students participated in a hands-on learning experience to make butter. Students were able to be Engaged Citizens by learning where some of their favorite foods come from and the animals that produce them.

On Friday our 4th grade Cubs toured the Louisville Slugger Museum. Students learned about the bat making process and the life and struggles of Jackie Robinson.
Our Cubs made many great connections to future careers and our Profile of a Learner work in Spencer County.
