2nd Grade Hits It Out of the Park! ⚾️🚌✨ Our 2nd graders had a blast exploring the Louisville Slugger Museum! They got a behind-the-scenes look at how baseball bats are made—walking through the factory and seeing the process from start to finish! 🪵🔨 These young minds were empowered learners, asking thoughtful questions and discovering real-world career possibilities in action. What an inspiring day of curiosity, connection, and creativity!

Our Garden Club got creative this week! 🎨 Students used their artistic expression to paint beautiful rocks and repurposed recycled cans into adorable plant people! 🌱✨ We love seeing their creativity bloom both in and out of the garden. Mrs. Mac’s class got hands-on with their sight words this week — literally! Students used Play-Doh to build their words, boosting their reading skills AND strengthening their fine motor muscles! 🧠✋📚 Learning through play is the best kind of learning! Play-Doh + Sight Words = Success! Way to go, little word builders! ✨

This week Mrs. Johnson's class celebrated Earth Day in a BIG way inspired by The Garden of Happiness from MyView! After reading about a community mural blooming with kindness, we talked about how doing good inspires others to do good too! So… our class created a flower mural out front for everyone to enjoy! 🌸🎨 We also got our hands dirty learning about worms! 🪱 From worm observations to dirt pudding treats (yum!) we became little scientists and authors—writing our very own “How-To” guides! ✏️🍫 Our students showed they are: Engaged Citizens ✔️ Empowered Learners ✔️ Effective Communicators ✔️ Active Collaborators ✔️ Way to go, Earth-loving leaders! 🌍✨

Mrs. Blumeier’s class had an EGG-cellent day of learning. The students were involved in several STEM activities: which eggs would sink or float, which liquid makes a rainbow the fastest, made peep boats, egg stacking challenge, and had a math egg hunt.
