The TES Academic Team competed in the Regional Governor's Cup.  We are thrilled to share that the TES Tigers are the KAAC Region 12 Governor's Cup CHAMPIONS! Today we proudly recognized students who show UNITY each and every day! 🐯 Staff nominated these students for encouraging greatness in others by including everyone, working together, and bringing people together.

Today in Tiger Talk, students learned what unity really looks like in action. Through a fun game, they discovered the importance of lifting each other up when someone is down. 🐯

🎉 Big News for Taylorsville Elementary STLP! 🎉 We are proud to announce that Taylorsville Elementary STLP has 8 student technology projects advancing to Semi-State judging! Out of hundreds of entries across Kentucky, these outstanding projects have been selected among the top 10% in the entire state. Our students’ creativity, innovation, and hard work truly shine through each project, and we could not be more proud of their accomplishments. 👏 🏆 Final results will be announced on April 24th at the State STLP Convention at Rupp Arena in Lexington. Hello, Heart Heroes! It's time again to kick off the American Heart Association's school fundraisor Jump Rope for Heart: Kid's Heart Challenge! We kicked off our fundraisor last week in PE and are excited to work with the AHA to collect donations to help kids with special hearts. We are also learning how to take care of our hearts and will participate in some fun cardio-pumping challenges and physical activities! All of our donations will be collected online. Your child and earn "Thank You" gifts for participating. Download the AHA schools app, scan the QR code or visit heart.org/schools to sign up. Don't forget to complete Finn's Mission to learn hands-only CPR. By learning CPR, you could save someone's life! All donations are due by Friday, March 6th. Don't wait, get signed up today!

Today kicks off our Hearts for Kentucky Kids Drive! 🩷

Fourth Grade celebrated the completion of their ReadBowl competition with a Super Bowl party. Read Bowl is a global competition sponsored by author & former NFL player, Malcolm Mitchell. Our classes read a total of 50,478 minutes!! Congratulations to the Offensive MVP, Lydia Burruss & Defensive MVP, Jude Coury. Mrs Hutt’s classes earned the trophy this year! Thank you to all our parents whose donations made the celebration possible!

Our third graders enjoyed watching The Lightning Thief today! ⚡️ They were excellent audience members and did a great job representing TES!

We were honored to welcome Mrs. Kentucky to our school yesterday! 👑🐯 She shared her heart for serving others as she introduced a new **service project supporting foster children**. Our students learned how small acts of kindness can make a big difference in someone else’s life. 💙 Mrs. Kentucky also encouraged students to make healthy choices, talked about the importance of good nutrition, and reminded everyone that they can be their own superhero by taking care of their bodies and making positive decisions each day. 🦸‍♀️🍎 Thank you, Mrs. Kentucky, for inspiring our Tigers to serve others, live healthy, and shine from the inside out! ✨

Our archery team is currently 5th in the State for 3D and 8th in the State for bullseye! Check out their accomplishments from this past weekend! We are so proud of them!

Mrs. Burns’ 1st graders have been working on comparing numbers in math. Today they worked in teams to create compare problems for their table and use compare number sticks to complete the statement. Students were active collaborators and empowered learners!
