We are honored to announce Ms. Gwen Shouse as our district's next Chief Financial Officer. Mrs. Shouse emerged as the top candidate from a rigorous selection process, demonstrating exceptional qualifications and a deep understanding of our financial operations.

Mrs. Shouse is a familiar and highly respected figure within our district, having dedicated over 23 years of service to our community. During her time in Spencer County, she has gained invaluable experience in various critical financial roles, including payroll, accounts payable, and most recently, serving as our district’s Director of Accounting. Her comprehensive experience across these departments has provided her with a holistic perspective on our district's financial landscape.

Gwen recently completed the rigorous Certified School Finance Manager program through KDE, further enhancing her expertise in school finance.  Gwen is widely recognized as a servant leader, consistently prioritizing the needs of our students, staff, and community. We are confident that her leadership, experience, and deep institutional knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to uphold our commitment to fiscal responsibility and educational excellence.

She will begin transitioning into the role during June and July and will officially take the reins on August 1.  We look forward to her continued contributions to our district's success.  Please join me in welcoming Ms. Shouse to her new role … Congratulations, Gwen!
